For a couple of days the Mary House Food Pantry located at St. Patrick's Church in Providence was turned into an extravagant toy shop. Parishioners of St. Patrick Church, families serviced by the Mary House Food Pantry and Meal Kitchen, and families living in Smith Hill and the greater Providence area all had the opportunity to visit the toy shop to pick out toys for their children. Over the course of 3 days Mary House had the privilege of serving 441 children in 164 families; this was truly a miraculous Christmas, as this is the largest number of children we have ever served. That number includes many of the families that were originally on our waiting list. Serving all of these families, would not have been possible without all of the individuals, churches, and organizations that teamed up with us and worked tirelessly to make sure every child in need was served. We are grateful for the opportunity to have been able to give to all those who asked of us this Christmas.
